Artist Statement

Create a moment, by taking a glance at one of my paintings. My art is about you; it is for me to create a visual image for you to enjoy!

The images I create are inspired from my experiences of place. Shapes and Colors are informed by the arid dramatic land and fauna of the Coachella Valley, where I grew up. You will see influence from the forests and cool ocean views of the Southern Oregon Coast where I worked with my Aunt Marion harvesting cranberries.

I am grateful for the urban culture of the San Francisco Bay area that has defined me. My art is also inspired by recent forays to the California Central Valley near Visalia. There, one can see the open fields of growing abundance against the backdrop of the Sierra Mountains.
